thinking of jesus dying on the cross always makes me wonder- if we were asked ,if we were the ones who had to make the choice ,if god decided that we had to die on the cross to recieve eternal life would we? would we be willing to take up the cross and be crucifed for eternal life and for a relationship filled with such love and passion how many of us would?
How beautiful it is that jesus loves us so much we didn't have to. that you nick for your wondreful insights thank you jesus for love

Wisdom is the ability to use your knowledge and experience to make good decisions and judgements. In other words, skilful living. Wisdom is in the streets and market places. It is readily available for the business of living. It is for common people, not for exclusive bible scholars. It is in the business of life. “Wisdom calls aloud in the street.” I run a small business and have had employees that lack in life skills. I do consider this to be one of the ministries of my business. Helping to impart wisdom (skilful living). It is to be found in the market place and in the busyness of life. The question is are you open to hear her voice? Wisdom calls out, are we open to hearing and learning?

Obadiah intrigues me. Here he was in a leading position in a hostile work environment, yet holding to his faith and working for God. If his employer found out what he was doing then he would more than lose his job. Even Daniel was in a more tolerant work environment than Obadiah (see the book of Daniel and later E100 readings). How did he manage to prosper with those bosses and still be God's man to save 100 of the persecuted leaders of God's people? I wish there was more information about him in Scripture. I know of people who can't wait to leave hostile work environments – and I can understand that. It is stressful. But does God have a purpose for us to be there? Are we called to stay and work there – even if we don't want to? Check in with God before you check out of the hostile work environment. I am sure Obadiah would have loved to retire to the family farm – but he stuck it out for a purpose.

I have just been reading exodus and I would dispute the red sea crossing. The Israelites went south from egypt to etham, which is at the top of the gulf of suez. They were then told by god to go back and camp near baal-zephron. This puts them on the coast. It is here that the egyptions caught up with the Israelites and it is here that God parted the sea with an east wind. There is a lake called Sirbonis near where they were camped and I think this could be the sea God parted. No where does the Bible say that God parted the RED sea, but the sea.

My insight of creation

On the six days of creation, God's way of creation is just saying it out loud and it was so. Its really amazing how powerful God's word is forming nothing to something by just saying it. And the immediate response from Him is "God saw that it was good". I reckon that goodness in God's standard is - if He said it and it comes to pass, and continously sustains itself then it is good in his sight. Like for example "light", we still experience light up to this time and in His sight "it is good".
